"Papa, we love you!"

This is for Papa, because he wants something to read! LOL! He is so close to retirement! Only 2 more weeks left but he only has 5 days that he has to work! Unbelievable! Where did those 30 years go? You would think after you give a company that many years you would at least get a thank you, but since GM closed down in OKC , we had to go to Kansas City and they really aren't fond of us okies! So they basically have said don't let the door hit you on the way out! I say all that to say how proud I am that he has given most of his adult life to this company just so he could make a living for his family. He would get up before the crack of dawn and drive an hour to start work and then most of the time he would be out doing work at the church in the evening and it would get us back home so late, but he did it because he loved his family so much and he wanted to provide for us! We are grateful for his dedication to GM, and even more than that his love for the Lord and his family! Yes it is the end of his career at GM, but he has a new career that he is so excited about, he can't wait to get started! He says he will get to use his brains for a chance and not his body! I know he will be great at what he will be doing! Another thing he does great is loving our grandbabies! That is the best thing about going back home, we get to see the babies and be there for our 1st grandbaby from Candace! So, I say all that to say, "Thank you!" for you have done for our family. I know you have made a lot of sacrifices and for that I am grateful, and I know our children are as well! We are proud of you!

This is just for PaPa! He gets on everyday to check my blog and the girls, ( Candace and Keli's) so last night he said after checking, " What happened with Grana, as usual there is nothing on her blog!" I haven't been posting because for one I do Facebook more now days and I really don't feel like there is that much going on with my life to write about! Not to mention I am not a writer! But after thinking about it last night, I thought I would share with you, all two readers, how proud I am of Mike! He took a test this last weekend for his HVAC license, and he passed! He was so worried about this test! I really wasn't because I knew he would pass! He is very book smart! We are so excited for him because he will retire this year in July and now he has another career to start on! This one will allow him to use his brain instead of his body!! Anywhoo! We are counting down the days to when we can move back to OKC! It won't be long now! I wonder where the time went? Love you PaPa

This is no fun! It is hard packing without my girls!! When we moved here, Candace and Keli both helped me wrap up dishes and all my "valuables'', LOL! I am getting it done but am very slow with it! I also have a job this time that I didn't have last time. I have a fury little one that thinks she has to be held 24/7 too! As she is sitting here in my lap while I am writing this! She likes her belly rubbed alot!! She is quite the fury princess of this house! She is getting groomed today because sommmebodddyy thought they could cut her hair!!! He found out he couldn't!! We went to suprise my Mom and Dad for Thanksgiving! They were so suprised! They had 11 new Black Lab puppies! They were so cute!

This is my new great niece, Taryn! She was a cutie patootie!! I love babies!!!!!!!!

Here is mom, Gigi with her great granddaughter, Taryn! We enjoyed our time with family on Thanksgiving! My older brother Jay and his wife Jackie were there, with her awesome Banana Pudding! My baby brother Paul and his wife Lisa were there as well, she had brought and amazing salad that I ate way too much of! My nephew Jeff and his wife Trina and their kids, Jesse, Taylor and Taryn came so they could see me! Well maybe the new puppies!! LOL!

The cutest grandbabies in the world!
I've been tagged! Whatever that means! My daughter did that to me, after my daughter in love did it to her! I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do, but I will try!

1. I have been blessed by a wonderful husband who loves me, inspite of my faults!
2. I have been blessed with three children, that I love more and more each day and
am so thankful for them!
3. I also have been blessed with two "in-law" children, which I like to call them
"in-love" in stead of in-law! I am so blessed that they chose to join our family!
4. I am really blessed beyond measure with four of the cutest and of course smartest
grandchildren!
5. I still have my parents who are busier now than ever! They are like the ever ready
bunny, they keep going and going! Praise the Lord for that!
6. I also have my husband's mom and dad who are blowing and going as well! Just be
sure to be off the road before Mom A gets on the road! LOL!
7. I forgot my little Sophie who has been a great heater for my bed! She really is a sweet
little puppy!

What a day! We are in a Baltimore hotel lobby watching OU beat Texas! I hope they beat Texas! It looks pretty scary right now! It always does! The manager is having fun with us! He is a Youth Pastor from Arkansas! He has been so much fun! He keeps asking details of the game! We just got through eating Maryland Crab Cakes and WOW they are good! I think I might like it here! I am looking for crash pads as soon as the game is over! Important things first you know! I will try to post pictures later! I need to start bringing my stuff to transfer pictures with! We are looking at cruising the Harbor tonight! More crabs and lobster I'm sure!

I have some pictures of my home away from home and as soon as I get home I will post them for you! I have been walking to the stores here and it sure curbs your spending when you realize you have to carry what you buy back to the house because you didn't drive! LOL!

I am asking what a grown, mature woman (maybe not mature!) is doing in a crash pad! It is better than the hotel, looking at four walls, at least here we can go shopping! I'm fixing to go do that!

This is really more of a lifestyle than a job, and when you are grown and mature in age it takes a lot to get use too! I will be going to Baltimore next more! That should be interesting!

I got the cutest phone call this morning from the cutest babies in the world! My babies started school yesterday and they are the smartest and brightest kids! I enjoy talking with them on the
phone but half the time I can't understand them! I just have to say "Wow!" They always have a great story to tell! I'm getting ready to go see the world again, NYC and Reno, I guess that is pretty much the world, I think all the people in the world either live in NYC or Reno! I hope to post some more pictures!

I am doing this for my hubby! He likes to read my blog and I haven't been posting a lot, like all three of my readers hadn't noticed! LOL! I have been trying to get use to my new schedule!
Somehow posting on the blog hasn't been one of the must do's! I had some great crews this last
week, and the Captain asked me to come up and see the sunrise in the cock pit, all I can say is
AWESOME! It is definitely one of the highlights so far! It is amazing to see at 40,000 feet in the
air! It is hard to imagine someone not believing that there is a God after seeing creation at it's
greatest. I hope the pictures will do it justice!
I had a great crew and we found a Mustang in front of the hotel we were staying at and one of the girls jumped on and it made a great photo op!

I can't believe that I haven't posted! I have a picture I wanted to share! I had Danny Glover on my plane the other day! He was so nice! I was telling him how much I loved one of his movies I had seen not to long ago. I was telling him that I thought he was great in that movie but he was a little mean in it, he said he didn't know which one I was talking about, so I tried to explain it a little more, he still didn't know which one. I was talking later on that night to my daughter and she started to laugh and said "Mom, that was Samuel Jackson's movie!" Well, no wonder he couldn't think of the movie! He was a great passenger!

I just wanted to ask all of you that know Candace to please be praying for her. They found out
she had Mono, which I didn't know still existed, she was still not doing good so she went to the emergency room and they drained her tonsils, sounds gross and very painful! They kept her in the hospital and is suppose to get out tomorrow, just pray that she will feel better soon!

Here are some pictures from my OE trip. The OE is overnight experience before you graduate, they have to grade you on how you work all FA positions, I guess to see if you are ready! I also will post some pictures of my Co-Heart trip, which that is where they give you a mentor to walk you through all your responsibilities and they are to help you any where you are having trouble! I had a great mentor and we have became fast friends! God blessed me with a believer! She was awesome and loved the Lord! Thank you to all of you that have kept me in your prayers, I really appreciate it!

I can't believe I haven't posted with the news that I made it through! I have been very busy, getting use to this new life! I will post some pictures of graduation and my first trip or two.

great support! The only way I made it through was because of the prayer support from my

Passed Another One!

God has been so good to me! He has allowed this brain to come alive and take in so much info!
I have had a great time, but it has been very exhausting as well! I have so much information
going around in my head, I hope when it comes time to take my last test, I will be able to bring
all of it together and pass!
I passed another test today and have one more left on Monday! It will be the last of my written ones and then I take a final, on Thursday of next week! I have a proficiency test on Tues. and Wed., of which will be on the actual plane! I have to go through all the stations and do what I have learned for the last month! I know I have learned so much, I just hope I can remember it when it comes time to do it! Please be praying that I will finish strong! I will be able to see my babies after graduation! YEA!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!

I have just made it through what they call "Murder Week!" It is so hard on you! I passed my test on Thursday and Friday! I do have to make up a proficiency first thing Monday morning! It is giving me fits! Please pray that I will be able to get it down! I did pass two of my proficiencies on Friday! I just about knocked the instructor right off the plane ( the fake plane, that is set up on a real plane) and all the people laughed their heads off!
I can't wait to graduate and get my wings! Keep me in your prayers and that I will do my best to be all God wants me to be for him here in training. This is a mission field here!

Tests, Tests, and more Tests!

I had to retake Friday's test, because I made an 88 and you have to make a 90! But I made a 96, on it today!
I also had to take the regular one right after it this morning, and made a 96 on it as well! I have another one to take in the morning, so if you think about me around 0730 I would covet your
prayers!
I have a total of 5 left with only 1 retake left, so you can imagine the pressure! I have been praying
that if this is what God can use for his glory than I am all for it! If not that is ok too! It is a lot of
hard work, but will be worth it in the end with all the benefits!
PRAY HARD!

Second Test!

Today was our second test and I passed! I made a 92, and here, anything over 90 is a passing
grade and they consider it a 100! You either pass or fail! They offer you 2 retakes for the 9 tests, on the other 2 tests you can't retake! I don't want to have to use a retake! My goal was a 100 on all of them, but now it is to not retake a test! We just got back to our hotel, and now we have to do homework on what we learn tommorow, then study for the next test we have first thing in the morning! Which if you do the math it does not give you much time to do anything important, like
shop, eat, iron your clothes for the next day, eat, shop, sleep and you know all the important things, did I mention shop?
This really is boot camp!! Just remember to pray for me! It is amazing how many believers I have
met, and I give them the scripture for the day! They look forward for the scripture of the day!

I did something so crazy tonight at the welcome to swa party! They did a Karaoke machine thingy where you get up and sing, and so a couple of the people that I have met decided we should sing the YMCA song! So Mark is assigned to be the lead singer and there were four of us girls to sing back up, so I came up with Mark and the Markettes! ( I know that sounds pretty lame, huh?)
Oh well we didn't win but we had fun! I was really scared to death! Got to get some sleep!

"Leaving on a Jet Plane......"

I couldn't resist singing the jet song this morning! I guess that probably dates me, huh? I am
waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy beyond my limit on poundage, surprise!!LOL!
I think I will just pack another bag and pay the extra check-in fee, just so I can have every thing I want to take! What a huge dilemma!
Oh, something very embarrassing happened to me while I was out getting last minute shopping done. I headed to the register to pay for my things, and the lady smiled really big at me and was so cheerful, and I said "Oh you have braces too" and her reply was "No, just really bad teeth!"
Oh my goodness, gracious sakes alive I wanted to run away from there as fast as I could!
Her bottom teeth from about half way down were really dark and looked like they had braces on them, and so I thought oh, we have something in common I will try to relate to the lady! Well, I tried pulling my foot out of my mouth and said,"Oh, I know a lot of ladies our age are getting braces, and I didn't have very good dental care when I was growing up, and I can't wait to get them off!" Then I went on and on about who knows what and she was just laughing, but
what she was probably thinking was "I wish this machine would go a little faster with this transaction, so this lady can get out of my face!" I was so embarrassed and then Mike started laughing at me, after we left the lady's presence of course, and so I was able to laugh at myself
and then I couldn't stop laughing at myself. I think I will try to find the cure for the Foot in Mouth Disease! On that note I gotta go!

Thankful Thursday!!!

I am VERY thankful for my hubby! He has helped me with my memory work for training! I kid you not, there is so much memory work to do! That's not a complaint, just pointing out the facts!
I only have one day left, and my brain is in over load! That's why I am so thankful for my hubby. He is making it a lot easier for me! Don't get me wrong, I still need your prayers! I will be testing everyday and when I was in school, a million years ago, I didn't test very well. I knew what I was suppose to know but couldn't prove it by the tests!
I am still trying to get enough clothes around! Do you know how hard it is to shop for clothes, at least ones you like, not to mention ones that you might look ok in! Oh but I forgot I am thankful!
I do have a lot to be thankful for! I am going to try to keep up on the posting once training starts so ya'll will know what's going on!

The time is almost here! I am excited, but also am amazed at all the memory work I have had to do! I'm still not finished with all of it! I really hope I can count on all of you to pray for me while I am in training! It is like a boot camp! I keep thinking about the long hours and prep work I did for Falls Creek, no sleep all week and still was able to put out a lot of food! If I can do that, surely I can get my wings! Candace and Michael helped me pick out clothes to take! We had a great time and found some cute stuff! Here is a picture of a picture, that we took for Father's Day and our 33rd Anniversary!Newly weds, huh? LOL! He's the best thing that has ever happened to me, that's for sure!!

We are having a great time this week! We have my Mother-in-law here visiting and we are trying to get to every store here in KC! I have even made a itinerary and keep checking it and changing it! Hey it's Friday! A Fabulous one! Thanks to Mrs. Troops! I do have several that I could talk about, but very busy today with a "Graduation" cake that I have to get finished! If it looks
like I want it to, I will post a picture for you later!
The one's I want to tell you about since we are talking laundry products, is this:
I love using this in all my loads, but I really like it for my whites! It really works and is a natural cleaner! I also use the Mrs. Meyors Basil laundry soap and wow does it smell great!
I also use the softner that goes with it! It is a little pricey but is well worth the difference!
Just think how it is helping out the earth and whole global warming thingy!
I have another laundry item that I use for my whites and that is Mrs. White's Bluing and I would take a picture for you but I need to get back to the cake! Sorry next time maybe!
But what I like about the bluing is it keeps your whites from going grey! I love it!

I am getting ready to go stay with the babies! They are excited, I'm excited we're all excited!
The only one that really isn't too excited is PaPa Popcorn! He is glad I am going to see them,
but wishes he could! He loves him some grandbabies! I plan on doing some playing and loving
on the babies! I am bringing some movies for "Movie Night!" they love to eat popcorn and watch a movie at night. If you have a recommendation for a great kid's movie let me know! Just keep me in your prayers! I had three of my own when I was a lot younger and they kept me busy! This will be fun! Love me some babies!

Thankful Thursday... after midnight!

I forgot that today was "Thankful Thursday" until I got on tonight and was reading all my blogger friends! There are so many things for me to be thankful for! We don't have time for that! I hear you saying, awwwwwhh!
One thing I am thankful for is my grandbabies! You knew that was coming, huh? I got a call from them today, and my oh my can you say cute?!? My oldest wants me to tell his PaPa that he needs his help making a Pirate Ship! He wants me to let him know he will need lots of nails, Grana!
He asked me to be finding some bright material for the sails! He also needs me to help him find the costumes for all of us to be wearing as we are sailing on this ship! He will be parking it in his Aunt's lake at the place where she works, so we can sail back to his house from there!LOL! Can it get any cuter than that? We are amazed at how smart all of these little ones are! You know what they say! It has to be passed down!
Something else I have to be thankful for is the pool is getting smaller!! What I mean by that is that I am now 16 days away from being invited to training!! Right now the class is going to be starting in May graduating in June. It doesn't look like I will make that one and they aren't saying if there will be another one starting in July, yet! It looks like it is getting closer, finally
after almost a year of floating in the pool! If the Lord brings me to your mind please remember to pray for me about this. It is an amazing opportunity for a job, but it will be very hard on me to learn all this in such a short time! I am so excited about the benefits this will give to our family! Free flights to any where! Of course I will earn those too! More tomorrow! I hope!

Life is so Ruff!!

I asked my man if he had seen my post that I had made today, and his response was, "No, I never check your blog because you don't ever post!" Sometimes the truth hurts! When I started this blog I did it to show off the babies and be a bragging grana! Nobody even knew I was here! Boy have things changed. I now have three people that read it daily! WOW! The pressure is on!
I wanted to get some ideas coming in for some "fun food" that I could fix for the babies when I go to stay with them, but no one has any! Poor babies! Papa John's here we come!
Congrats to Mrs. Troop! She won a great give away for leaving a comment! Big deal you say, do you know how many times I have left comments and not even an honorable mention! I think Mrs. Troop does a great job on her blog, one of those naturals!

Fun Food for Kids!

I wanted to see if we could get some interest in posting foods that you have made or found that sounded good, for kids! I found this recipe and tried it out on my big kid and he loved it! I will do some things different when I make for my precious grandbabies!
Cornbread Hotdogs
2 pkg. cornbread mixes ( 8.5 oz. )
2 T. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. grated cheese
9 hot dogs cut in small pieces

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Lightly grease muffin pans
Stir together mix and sugar
Whisk together eggs and milk
Fold liquids into dry ingredients
Add cheese into mixture and stir
until moist

Ok, I know it has been a while since I blogged, ok, a loooonnnnggggg while! I'm not consistent but I plan on it, soon! I keep putting it off because I want to post some pictures and it takes me so long to put everything together to download the pictures and so that is the best excuse I can come up with! But..... the funniest thing happened today ya'll that I just had to tell ya! I wished I had taken a picture because I don't know if I can get you to picture what happened or not!
Our neighbor had called and had car trouble and needed my man's help. So he's going back and forth from his house and ours. Now, I don't know if you (all two of you!) remember we have our little puppy, Sophie, who we have potty trained in our garage because we have our son-in-love's big dogs, Buddy and Monty in the back yard. I had let her out and noticed she had left some pretty big poo and I thought I will get that in a minute, well something got me sidetracked,
(menopause!) and I didn't pick it up. I heard the garage door going up and thought,"OMG there's poo still in the floor!" I hollered at my man as he was trying to come in with the door barely opened, like on his knees and he got off balanced as I hollered and all I saw was his hand
sliding on the poo!! He's looking up at me with this look on his face as if to say," OMG there is poo on the floor!" By this time we are both laughing so hard tears are rolling down my face as well as the mascara and he just starts cleaning up! Well you can imagine every time I think of him sliding in poo, I just bust out laughing! I thought you guys would get a kick out of this, so I thought it was good enough to come out of hiding and post! Have a blessed week and maybe just maybe I will post again! Soon!

Big Boy's Birthday

Today is Popcorn's birthday! The grandbabies started calling him popcorn instead of PaPa and he loves it! I am so blessed to have him as my man! He loves the Lord and he is a big family man! He is so proud of his babies! He is a great provider! He never complains about providing for his family! Here is his Sophie watching him out the kitchen window, yes she is standing up on the counter watching him clean the snow and ice off of the drive way! She has to cry about him leaving every time he leaves! I hope today is extra special for him, because he deserves it!

This is the cutest one year old! We had so much fun taking these pictures with one of our sweet friends that is starting her own photography business! She is doing a great job! Our little one was sick on the day we were going to have her birthday party! We still got to go and visit everybody! It was a quick trip home, but well worth it! Just to get to love on the babies and play with them is the best!

I can't believe it has been so loooooooong! I haven't even told you what we named the puppy! Her name is "Sophia Grace", we call her "Sophie"! She has been so fun! I also have some pictures of the wedding of the year! Our baby girl got married at the end of the year, and that was a lot of work. We had it here in KC, but should have had it in OKC! We had a snow storm and lots of snow and ice every where! It was very crazy! The cake that I had dreamed of and how it was suppose to look never did show up! My friend came and put the cake together for me at the last minute, Thank you Mary!!Another friend, Lynn took the pictures and you will see what a great job she did! My dad did the ceremony and had every body crying, which is amazing because he never loses it! I had some people who came and didn't know that he was my dad and thought, how strange that was for the preacher to break up while doing the ceremony! It made sense when they found out it was my dad! New Babie in the House!

We have a new babie! Puppy that is. I can't believe we did this at this time, but we did. I guess planning a wedding isn't enough stress, I needed to potty train a puppy! Which by the way is not going that great! I am taking any advice in this area if you have any or know of someone who does! It has been a long time since we have had a puppy in the house. We are still not sure what her name is, we are open to suggestions in this area too! We are leaning towards Sophia Loren and call her Sophie! We like Zoe too! I will post some pictures of her and maybe someone will be able to tell what name she looks like! I hope to post some other pictures too!

We finally found a church to have the wedding at! It is so beautiful and has a history too! It has stained glass windows and is on a winding country road that has trees meeting at the top over the road! Now we still have so much to go but at least we know where it will be the day and sort of the time! I got to pass out candy for Halloween tonight for the first time in over 20 years! We have lived in the country for all those years and never had any goblins. I had so much fun! They were dressed up so cute! I let them help themselves and they couldn't believe it! They thought they had hit the jack pot! Oh to be young again! More later!

Baby Day!

I will get to see the babies today! I am so excited! I think they are too. KB called me several times yesterday, she wanted me to know that it was just one more day! I can't wait to see all of them. I also can't forget that the braces go on tomorrow! Here goes another old lady looking like a teen! I hope they aren't noticeable! I don't know how you can hide a full mouth of shining metal though. I almost forgot about the "wedding dress" trip! We went yesterday for the first try at the special dress. We were helping ourselves and couldn't find anything that was just standing out, and then the sales lady says "all these dresses from here down have been marked down to $100 dollars", we started pulling them down and headed to the dressing room! We tried to really love them but after we would have to rip them apart and start all over with the dress, it wouldn't have been a bargin anymore! Oh well we tried! We have to keep looking and looking until we find it! We just don't have too long to look! We will survive! We may have a few scars after, but we will make it!

Where did I put my mind?

Okay this is the day we have waited for and now that is it here...OH MY GOODNESS! There is so much to do. I know what to do but everything I know is back home not here. This will be a new learning experience! I have always said I love challenges but I'm not sure about this one!
On top of all this the People Department called and said I would be in the next class that would go to training, okay that sounds great, when will the next class be? Oh probably Dec. OH NO! Okay I won't get excited, I will put my big girl panties on and deal with it right? I think I want to put them over my head and run! I will have to post pone the Dec. class and wait for the next one. Wow! That was easy to decide now let's hope it is allowable. I will be going to see the babies soon and I actually think they are as excited about seeing me as I am them! I don't know if their parents are as excited! LOL! I hope they are. We are going to have fun! I will be getting braces put on and I think it's silly that an old woman like me has to have braces and now I will have wedding pictures with them! UGH! Oh I just had a thought, I have noticed people that wear braces their lips seem to be more full and thicker, I could possibly have full lips for the wedding pictures! YEA! Oh wait the pictures aren't about the mother of the bride, I forgot it's about the bride! Phew! I almost had a panic attack there for a minute! It will be a time for some great family pictures. We have a date and a ring! We just need a place the right time and lots of money!! We also need to start praying for the best weather for traveling! It will be asking a lot from our families and friends to drive long distance to share in the wedding! Being in Dec. also makes for yukee weather! We think we might have found a house pretty close for them! There still are a lot of questions left to answer but we have to lean on the Lord and allow him to work in our lives and trust him!

I forgot to mention to check out the recipes over at Overwhelmed With Joy she is posting recipes from all over. I have been reading some of them and plan on trying them, of course you know how I like to tweak recipes! I have another recipe that I use every Christmas with my breakfast casserole. I make what I call "Melt In Your Mouth Biscuits". My kids ask for them and now my grandbabies are asking. I like to serve them with blended butters and honey. Enjoy!

Melt In Your Mouth Biscuits
1 cup self rising flour
4 tsp. sugar
1 small carton whipping cream

Mix and spoon in small muffin tins. Bake at 350 until light brown. Approximately 7-10 min.

* you can make these in different shape pans for special occasions

Crock Pot Dressing

8 slices day old bread
8 inch pan corn bread (yellow meal)
1 med. onion, chopped fine
4 eggs, beaten until foamy
1 1/4 tsp. sage or poultry seasoning
1 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
2 cans cream of chicken soup
2 cans chicken broth
2 tsp. margarine or butter (may use more for taste)
celery (optional)

Directions:
Crumble white bread and cornbread; add onion, sage, salt and pepper.
Put in ziplock bag in refrigerator overnight. ( spices blend well overnight)
Next morning mix soups and broth together.
Gently mix in liquid with cornbread mixture.
Last add eggs that have been beaten well, fold in very carefully.
Put in crockpot that has been lightly oiled or sprayed.
Cook on high for 3 to 3 1/2 hours.

This is a favorite of ours that my "Auntie" makes for us!

Dentist Love em'/Hate em'?

Dentist - You either love them or hate them! You go in for a normal procedure and you come out with no feelings in your tongue and your lips swollen out the wazoo! You can tell I went to the dentist today! I am still having a hard time feeling my tongue! I am a little chicken when I go to the dentist and this is a new one since I moved. I had my other dentist for almost 30 years, and he used the laughing gas- oh yeah- I don't recall laughing, but I know I didn't feel a thing! I asked this one for some laughing gas and was informed he doesn't use it because it was so bad for women! Uh Oh! 30 years of laughing gas! That explains it! So today I had to be a big girl and take it like a man without gas! 4 or 5 shots of Novocaine later I still can't function as well as I want! Oh well it needed to be done! So if this post doesn't make any sense, not that my posts usually do, it would be the drugs that I have taken doing the posting! Tomorrow should be a better day!

We just heard the news that the strike was over! I don't know all the details of it yet, but I'm just glad it's over! We went through a 2 mo. strike years ago and I knew I didn't want to do that again! It was hard getting caught up on everything! Praise the Lord for his answer to prayer! I had to put off the braces because of some fillings I had to have, but when the strike happened we weren't sure if we had coverage, so now with the strike over guess I will start on the unpleasant procedures! FUN! Bring on the pain pills! I have some new pictures of the Hawaii trip that I will try to post!

Where did the summer go? We were in the 80's yesterday and now 50's today! What's with that? It must be the hurricane Karen coming! My mom told me that there would be a hurricane named after me and I think she's a comin'! I hope she doesn't tear things up! What a weekend we just had! It was very busy with our visitor! I fixed a good ole home cooked pot roast and all the fixin's for our Sunday meal and we all just had to sit around and moan because we over ate! We also got a look at the "ring"! I don't think it will be too long now. We have already started planning a little bit. It is hard to think about spending money right now with GM out on strike! Who knows how long that will last! Not too much longer I hope! Well I got to go for now! More later!

This is my precious 7 month old granddaughter! She is actually 6 months in this picture. She is the baby of the 4 children that my son and daughter-n-law have. She has been the best little baby for them. The bow might possibly be as big as she is! I hope she doesn't pull a neck muscle trying to hold her head up!

I came in from OKC on Wed. and Candace's friend Michael flew in to KC the same time too! I guess he is still considered a friend, although we are planning a wedding, slow but still getting some information around! I think we will be hearing something soon though, I can feel it! They knew each other when they were younger and he moved away and we lost contact with his family, but they found each other again on a blog and now as they say the rest is history! We will be taking them to a great family style restaurant today and maybe catch a movie. I am enjoying visiting with him because he was so young when we knew them and my how he has grown up! I will try to post a picture so you can see what a cute couple they are!

Baby Withdrawals

I'm back home and missing the babies! I got to spend 3 days with them and loved every minute of it! I never get enough time with them. They kept asking me if I could put them in my suitcase and bring them home with me! The oldest one said "Grana, be sure to leave part of it opened so I can breathe!" It is amazing the things they can come up with, of course they have some great genes! I was in back home to start procedures of braces. I can't believe that at my age I have to start braces. I have some TMJ problems that they are wanting to correct and some other terms that I don't know, since I don't have a medical degree! I just hope that it will go by fast and that it will be easy! I will try to post some pictures of metal mouth later! That should be interesting! I have some pics of the babies that I will be posting later! Stay tuned!

I found out today that I would not be going to class in October! I have an interview date of July 26 and the invites for class that went out today was through June 22. I am a little disappointed but know that God is in control here and that I will go when it's his time. I will probably make the November class, if they have one that is! I don't know if that is an option or not yet! I love that they hire fun loving people and now they have started hiring wild and crazy! Can't get any better than that! I just know that if this is what God wants for my life it will happen! It will be great being able to fly to visit the most precious babies in the world! I will post some pictures of them here for you to see for yourself!

New Career

I know it has been so long since I posted! I could make up a ton of excuses but the real reason is I don't feel like I have any thing of importance to write. I thought I would let everyone know that I have a new career move I'm working on. I have been accepted to SWA for a Flight Attendant. I have a 3 week class in Dallas that I have to pass, lots of tests and memory work, which I haven't had to do that in 30 some years! I know that if this is what God would have me do he will give me what I need to succeed!! This will be a great job for me because of the benefits! We would be able to fly home for free to see the babies! Can't get any better than that! For right now I'm in what they call the "Pool". I'm a "Poolie"! I don't swim much any more but I love too! So I don't mind being in the "Pool"! I will try to do better at posting!

We have finally made it to Hawaii! Or if you talk like KB it's Hawaiiti! We are here celebrating our 32 years of wedded bliss! Or something like that. We came with my sister, and family friend. My sis lived here for a while in the 90's and so we have the
perfect tour guide!
The first picture is me and my DH on the beach at Kailua, we are staying across the street from the beach in a house we have rented. The next one is of us three girls waiting at the pancake place to get the best Banana Macadamia Nut Pancake ever tasted! It is pictured in the next picture. The last one is of my DH on the beach with his favorite hat on! We have been having a blast. It is a little hard getting use to the time difference, my body wakes up earlier than it is suppose to! I will put some more pictures on here later! I know you want to see them mom!

I have been busy this week! This Grana has a new little girl! She was named after my grandmother, which would be her great-great-grandmother,who by the way was a godly and beautiful woman. I have had our oldest grandson this week to help out and needless to say we have had some kind of fun! My daughter and I were taking him to eat at a mexican restaurant so he could have a grana burito,(I take a corn shell and butter it up real good and roll it! hey, he thinks it the greatest!) he didn't want me to have to cook! At one time he wanted to marry his aunt, my daughter, but now since it looks like she might be getting married he announced in the car that he just might have to marry his grana! How those little minds work amazes me! He also thinks he wants to live with me forever and forever! Amen!I usually am a very safe driver I have had quite a few years experience, but for some reason the other night I just flew right through a red light! My daughter started screaming so my grandson started screaming and it scared me so bad I started screaming! It was to late I had ran it and man I did a good job running it! I hope this next week will slow down a bit, however I think I am fooling myself because I will start moving! You know it's one of those kind of moves that you have 2 weeks to do and you think I'll move one room at a time so you can have everything where it is suppose to go and when you have finished your all ready to go, you have everything put up and you can sit and visit with all you family and friends that have helped you move, and even fix them something to eat as a thank you for helping! Wake me up!!! I must be dreaming! I can only hope!!~

Goals for 2007

I have some goals I want to work on for 2007 and there are at least 7 that I think are most important.

1) Love the Lord Jesus Christ and have a closer relationship with him
2) Lose weight and keep it off by eating healthy and changing my lifestyle
3) Be better at keeping in touch with family and friends
4) Get out of debt and stay on a budget and get ready for retirement
5) Learn how to use my camera and take better pictures of my sweet babies
6) Learn how to use my computer
7) Work on my scrapbooking and sorting my pictures

I would hope that I could keep working on these until I have them down! That is easier said than done! With God's help
I can do it!

What a weekend we had. It went so fast that I'm not sure I was even here. We had company visiting and I hope I was a good hostess. Sometimes I worry more about the food than the ones who are going to be eating it.
